Two gaming suppliers commanded to cease trading in Sweden
Solid Software Solutions and Rabocse have both been the target of statements from Spelinspektionen ordering them to cease targeting the Swedish market immediately.
Key points:
– Investigations from the Swedish regulator found evidence of both companies trading and marketing to the Swedish market
– Neither have a licence to supply games in Sweden
– Spelinspektionen continues its crack down on illegal marketing practices
Spelinspektionen, the Swedish regulator, has been on the warpath and issued banning orders to two gambling suppliers, prohibiting them from providing games in the Scandinavian country.
Solid Software Solutions and Rabocse are the named entities against whom the Swedish Gambling Authority has taken this action.
Neither of the two companies have a licence to operate in Sweden and yet investigations carried out by Spelinspektionen have reportedly found each of them to be targeting the region.
The regulator has demanded both must organisations must comply with Swedish gaming law immediately and cease any activity in the country.
The investigation into Solid Software Solutions is said to have unearthed evidence including contact details for customer service with a Swedish telephone number and customer reviews from Swedish consumers.
Similarly, Rabocse aroused suspicions when games on a number of operator’s websites appeared to be targeted at a Swedish audience.
Good to know: Rabocse SRL operate under a license obtained in Comoros, while Solid Software Solutions SRL are based out of Costa Rica
Further investigation of the websites and affiliates of Rabocse allegedly revealed a number of pages with information in Swedish.
Both companies are said to have been contacted by the Swedish regulator and neither are quoted as giving any comment on the reports.
The Gambling Act in Sweden prohibits any entity to operate in the Swedish gambling market without proper accreditation and licenses.
This extends to marketing to a Swedish audience, which both companies are accused of doing – the regulator has recently clamped down on social media influencers who had been promoting unlicensed operators on sites like Twitch.
