Authorities confirmed the seizure of RS 4.18 lakh in cash believed to be linked to the betting operation. The farmhouse is reportedly owned by Fatesinh Vasava, a former Congress candidate who joined the BJP following the 2022 Gujarat Assembly elections.
The raid was carried out by the Bharuch District Crime Branch after receiving a tip-off suggesting that Vasava had been facilitating gambling at the property. A night patrol team conducted the operation and arrested six men on site. One additional suspect remains at large.
