Wynn Resorts begins hiring for UAE casino ahead of 2027 opening

Key points:

– Wynn is recruiting for casino, management and marketing roles at Wynn Al Marjan Island

– The $5bn resort in Ras Al Khaimah is due to open in 2027, with projected $5bn annual revenue

– UAE gambling ban remains in place, but regulated through the GCGRA

Wynn Resorts has started advertising a wide range of roles for its upcoming $5bn Wynn Al Marjan Island resort in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), which is scheduled to open in 2027.

The property, set to become the Gulf’s first legal casino, is expected to surpass the size of Wynn’s Las Vegas flagship.

The operator is seeking staff across management, marketing, IT and casino floor operations. Vacancies include pit managers, dealers, table operations managers, nightlife planners and senior marketing executives.

Several vice president positions in casino marketing are also being recruited, aimed at developing VIP networks across the Middle East, North Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.

According to job descriptions posted on the company’s website and LinkedIn, responsibilities will include attracting high-net-worth players, liaising with agents and building relationships with regional influencers.

Good to know: Recruitment will extend to key cities such as Dubai, Riyadh, Doha and Cairo

The new resort is projected by Wynn to generate up to $5bn annually and has already expanded its footprint with the purchase of an additional 70 acres of land in RAK for potential future development.

As of Q2 2025, Wynn Al Marjan Island had hired 52 staff, bringing total headcount to 100, with numbers expected to reach 330 by year-end.

While gambling remains prohibited in the UAE, the federal government established the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) in 2023 to oversee licensing and compliance.

Wynn’s job postings cite adherence to these rules, including reporting suspicious activity or disputes.

The recruitment drive follows Wynn’s recent land acquisition for a potential second resort on Al Marjan Island, signalling the company’s broader expansion ambitions in the UAE market as it prepares for its 2027 launch.
