Digitain receives Belgian gaming licence
The move comes as part of Digitain's European growth strategy.

Digitain has received a Belgian E Category Licence, permitting it to operate in Belgium.
The iGaming solutions provider will be able to provide a range of services to operators in the nation, including its turnkey and API solutions, as well as its iGaming platforms, Centrivo Dynamics & Centrivo Universal, that allow for various gaming vertical plug-ins.
The move comes as part of Digitain’s continued European expansion efforts.
Indeed, in early January, Digitain bolstered its Maltese operations by hiring Aida Vardanyan as Malta CEO, and Gil Soffer as Malta CCO. It also partnered with LeBull in Poland in October 2024, enhancing its presence in this market.
However, Digitain’s efforts have not been constricted to Europe. In January it announced itself as one of the first suppliers to gain certification in the emerging Brazilian market, and before this, partnered with Colombo Sport in the Dominican Republic.
Good to know: Digitain hired Mary Ann Calleja as CPO in June. She comes to the role with over 20 years of industry experience.
The Belgian gaming market is one Digitain described as ‘a highly regulated jurisdiction with strict standards to ensure fair play and responsible gaming.’ The licensure follows shortly after the Gaming Commission’s finalisation of its newest line-up of members. 12 individuals, and 12 alternates, represent six Government ministers, speaking Dutch and French in equal measure. Their tenures will last six years.
The market is so effective, in fact, that the Belgian Gaming Commission recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI), in order to aid the fledgling authority enhance its communication via enhanced collaboration.
