Kambi extends BetCity partnership following Entain acquisition

Key points:

– Kambi has extended its agreement with BetCity, maintaining its role as the operator’s sportsbook provider

– BetCity, which launched in the Netherlands in 2021, was acquired by Entain in 2022

– The partnership includes Kambi’s turnkey sportsbook and front-end technology from Shape Games

Kambi Group has confirmed a multi-year extension to its partnership with Dutch online betting operator BetCity, which will continue to use Kambi’s turnkey sportsbook solution.

The renewal follows BetCity’s 2022 acquisition by Entain and supports its position in the Netherlands’ regulated sports betting market.

The collaboration between Kambi and BetCity began in 2021, coinciding with the opening of the regulated Dutch online gambling market.

Kambi CEO Werner Becher said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with BetCity, a brand that has demonstrated exceptional ambition since its inception. This agreement reflects the strong relationship we have built over the past few years and underscores Kambi’s commitment to empowering partners with the premium technology and services needed to succeed in regulated markets.”

BetCity CEO Vic Walia stated: “Since partnering with Kambi, BetCity has gone from strength to strength, achieving a prominent position in a highly competitive market. Kambi’s advanced turnkey sportsbook and high-quality service have been pivotal to our success and we are excited to extend this collaboration.”

Good to know: The deal also ensures that BetCity will continue to use Shape Games’ front-end technology, a division of Kambi Group that enhances app functionality and user experience

In January 2025, Kambi secured a deal with crypto-focused operator Stake to supply its turnkey sportsbook in Brazil, shortly after the country officially regulated sports betting. The partnership allows Stake to integrate Kambi’s sportsbook both in Brazil and other global markets.

Additionally, Kambi has expanded its offerings with its Odds Feed+ product, which was integrated into Brazilian fantasy sports operator Rei do Pitaco’s platform in late 2024.
