The event, launched by FOX Sports and AEG, will be held at T-Mobile Arena and MGM Grand Garden Arena from 31 March to 6 April 2025.
As part of the agreement, MGM Resorts will provide accommodations for participating teams at properties including ARIA Resort & Casino, Park MGM and Vdara Hotel & Spa.
The tournament will be broadcast on FOX and FS1, bringing additional visibility to the brand’s involvement.
Good to know: MGM Resorts’ partnership with the tournament includes sponsorship elements such as courtside signage, video board features and digital content integration
The company will also collaborate with Vivid Seats, the tournament’s Official Ticketing Provider and JSX, its Official Air Carrier, to offer travel packages that combine accommodations at MGM Resorts destinations with premium seating options.
Nick Baker, AEG Global Partnerships COO, said: “MGM Resorts’ global reputation for excellence in hospitality and entertainment makes them the perfect partner for the College Basketball Crown.”
FOX Sports Executive VP Jordan Bazant added: “With student-athletes competing at MGM Grand Garden Arena and T-Mobile Arena, it is a natural fit for our teams to stay at the stunning MGM Resorts properties.”
MGM Resorts’ involvement in the tournament follows recent developments within the company, including CEO Bill Hornbuckle’s appointment as National Chair of the US Travel Association’s Board of Directors.
Earlier this month, MGM reported a $17.2bn revenue figure for FY 2024, reflecting a 7% increase from the previous year.
The College Basketball Crown aims to enhance the postseason landscape for college basketball by offering an alternative competition to existing tournaments.
