Fennica Gaming receives UAE supplier licence
The supplier joins Scientific Games, IGT, Aristocrat and others in this newly regulated market.
Veikkaus subsidiary Fennica Gaming has received a gaming vendor licence in the UAE. The licence, awarded by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), will allow the supplier to offer its games as a service product to licensed operators in the nation, and adds to Fennica’s growing coverage of nations and continents that it serves.
Currently, Fennica Gaming offers games in three continents across 15 countries. Most recently, the supplier received a B2B licence in Greece from the Hellenic Gambling Commission.

On the licence, Fennica Gaming Managing Director Timo Kiiskinen said: “Receiving the gaming related vendor licence from the GCGRA is a significant step for Fennica Gaming as we continue to grow our global presence. The UAE represents a new dynamic market and for us a possibility to enter to a new continent and new markets. We are excited to contribute to the development of its regulated gaming sector with our trusted and innovative solutions.”
The first official gaming licence in the UAE was awarded to The Game LLC in July 2024. This was followed by Wynn Resorts in October 2024 – despite having begun construction on its land-based casino hotel in the years prior after announcing the project in 2022.
Other suppliers to enter the market include Aristocrat, Novomatic and IGT. The presence of major industry suppliers should not come as a surprise, as the UAE gaming market is predicted to be highly lucrative.
