Rise & Hustle launches tap-to-earn gaming platform in Nigeria

Key points:

– Rise & Hustle has launched in Nigeria with a mobile-first platform offering tap-to-earn games that reward users with airtime, tangible items and crypto-backed tokens

– The company plans to expand into Kenya and Ghana by the end of 2025

Rise & Hustle has launched its tap-to-earn gaming platform in Nigeria, offering mobile users access to a free-to-play gaming experience with the opportunity to earn real-world rewards.

Users can earn points known as “Bucks” by tapping and progressing through the games, which can then be exchanged for mobile airtime, merchandise and Rise Tokens. These tokens are built on the Binance Smart Chain and are part of a blockchain-based reward system.

The company was co-founded by Anthony Broadhurst, who has a background in African gaming and cryptocurrency, and Josh Jones, an entrepreneur in the iGaming sector. The platform’s content is designed in-house, with a focus on competitive gameplay and leaderboard-based progression.

Game features include status rankings, squads and live tournaments. The system does not require players to make financial contributions to participate or redeem rewards.

Good to know: The platform is scheduled to launch in Kenya and Ghana before the end of 2025

Rise & Hustle has integrated AI and local market partnerships to tailor its offerings to a mobile-first audience. A full real money gaming product is expected to follow.

Josh Jones, Rise & Hustle CEO and Co-Founder, stated: “Rise & Hustle is flipping the script on how value is created for an entire generation’s time and talent spent on mobile games.

“We’re here to turn everyday entertainment into real-world rewards. This isn’t just a game – we’re building a cultural movement where players grind together to reach the top through ambition and hustle.”

Rise & Hustle’s launch reflects the growing trend recognised in the 2025 Product Launch of the Year Shortlist, where tap-based, interactive gaming formats like Onlyplay’s Piggy Tap™ have demonstrated user engagement and regional market impact.
