Betano betting data unveils FC Barcelona as Champions League favourite

Key points:

– Kaizen Gaming has unveiled new European football betting data via its Betano subsidiary

– 40.5% of Betano players have backed FC Barcelona to win the 2025/26 Champions League

– AS Roma has also been backed to win the Europa League this season

New data from Kaizen Gaming sports betting subsidiary Betano has showed that bettors wagering on the outcome of this year’s Champions League are heavily backing FC Barcelona for the 2025/26 trophy.

With data pooled from Betano wagering activity across 19 countries, the operator has revealed that 40.5% of players wagering on the outcome of the Champions League are backing FC Barcelona, trailed by Real Madrid at 14.1% and Liverpool at 13.5%. Indeed, last year’s highly convincing winners, Paris Saint-Germain, have dropped off in the player’s estimations considerably – with only 7.5% backing them to retain their trophy.

Elsewhere, AS Roma has been the most heavily backed club to secure Europa League victory by Betano players, with 23.5% of outcome wagers being placed on the club. Close behind, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest have both been backed by 21.9% of players – with fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace also tipped as the favourite by 32.3% of bettors to win the Conference League competition.

Regarding Champions League football, fans wagering via Betano have also predicted an FC Barcelona v Liverpool FC final – with the two clubs receiving 36% and 23% of bets to reach the final, respectively. Indeed, the last time these two sides faced each other in the competition resulted in one of the greatest comebacks in recent football history – with Liverpool overturning a 3-0 deficit in the second round of the 2018/19 Champions League semi-final.

Good to know: 5% of Betano players also backed the operator’s new Official Partner, Bayern Munich, to win this year’s Champions League

Indeed, this latest development follows a recent flurry of football-related action for Betano, with last month seeing the operator extend its partnership with Sporting CP through to the 2028/29 season. Further, the organisation also became the primary front-of-shirt sponsor for Brazilian football club, Flamengo.

Outside of sport, this week also saw Kaizen’s Betano partner with Konami in Brazil, introducing the supplier’s range of casino slots to the market for the first time.
