MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS
Hasson is a true veteran of the hospitality and gaming industry, having accumulated more than 40 years' worth of experience across a range of different roles. Notably, serving as the COO of Station Casinos LLC and Red Rock Resorts.
Since joining Mohegan, Hasson has been acting as the General Manager of Mohegan Casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas – a role that he will continue alongside his new appointment as the company’s Interim COO.
EMPLOYMENT
Hasson's journey in the hospitality and gaming sector began in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where he embarked on various roles including Hotel Director, Controller and Audit Director.
Transitioning from the East Coast to Nevada in 1998 marked the next significant chapter in Hasson’s professional journey.
While in Las Vegas, Hasson held the position of COO of a prominent Las Vegas locals’ portfolio. In this role, he steered multiple businesses and properties as well as leading a range of teams across the Las Vegas valley for over 15 years.
During his time in Las Vegas, Hasson also served as the VP and General Manager of Station Casinos, a role that he held for just shy of eight years, from November 2003 to August 2011.
Another highlight from Hasson’s career came during his tenure as General Manager of multiple resorts at the South Shore of Lake Tahoe, where his teams garnered Four-Diamond recognition from AAA Travel editors.
Under his stewardship, the resorts achieved great success, earning top accolades in guest surveys and boosting their reputation in lodging and dining experiences.
Moreover, his commitment to community engagement has been evidenced throughout his career through his involvement in various boards and organisations. These initiatives include the North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, Henderson Convention Center and Visitors Bureau, Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority, Lake Tahoe Gaming Alliance and Laughlin Chamber of Commerce.
In more recent years, Hasson has worked as the General Manager of Graton Resort & Casino as well as the COO for Station Casinos LLC and Red Rock Resorts.
Hasson currently operates as the General Manager of Mohegan Sun Casino Las Vegas. In April 2024, however, it was announced that Hasson is to additionally take on the role of Interim COO for the company – an appointment that will come into effect following the departure of Jody Madigan on 1 August 2024.
