EMPLOYMENT

Thomas Carvalhaes began his professional journey at Lion Video e Foto in Brazil, working as a video editor and camera operator from 1998 to 2001.

Following his linguistics degree from the University of the Nations (2008-2011), he entered the iGaming industry in 2011 at DigiOutsource in Cape Town. At DigiOutsource, Carvalhaes started as a Portuguese Customer Host before advancing to Portuguese Brand Marketer, handling multiple online casino brands.

By 2012, he had become Regional Manager for Portugal and LatAm, overseeing a multi-million euro business portfolio including brands such as Jackpot City, Gaming Club and Casino Epoca.

In 2017, Carvalhaes took a contract position as CEO at JET Incorporated, where he implemented changes that resulted in 20% client growth and 60% increased brand awareness.

Carvalhaes’ next move saw him establish himself as an independent iGaming consultant between 2017 to 2019, advising companies including Omni Slots and Nine Casino on their Latin American operations.

His career continued at Betmotion BR as General Manager for Mexico and Brand Owner for Mundi Fortuna (2018-2019), where he achieved 30% NGR growth through various marketing initiatives. Later, at LeoVegas Group (2019-2020), Carvalhaes launched operations in Brazil, Peru and Chile – managing both the LeoVegas and Royal Panda brands.
