CEO
Crown Perth
With over 30 years of experience and a strong record of delivering measurable outcomes, Brian Pereira has worked his way up the corporate ladder, ultimately stepping into the role of CEO at Crown Perth where he aims to continue transforming the Australian property.
Pereira’s career is notable for a consistent track record of financial leadership across multiple sectors. One such achievement came during his tenure as CFO at Perth Airport, where he successfully steered the organisation through the financial turbulence of the Covid-19 pandemic. By implementing decisive cost-control measures and driving long-term strategic planning, he ensured the airport’s stability and laid the groundwork for recovery and future growth.
At Crown Perth, Pereira’s impact was also immediate and significant. As interim CEO, he played an important role in elevating Crown Towers Perth to a five-star rating from Forbes Travel Guide – the only Australian hotel to earn such a distinction at the time of writing. This milestone underscored his commitment to guest experience and brand elevation.
Pereira’s professional journey began in the banking sector, where he held significant positions that laid the foundation for his expertise in financial management. He served as the Director of Finance at the Bank of Scotland and later as the Head of Group Finance at Bankwest. These roles equipped him with an understanding of financial operations and strategic planning within the banking industry.
Transitioning from banking, Pereira took on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) roles in several prominent organisations. He served as CFO at Brookfield Rail (now Arc Infrastructure), WesTrac Cat and Perth Airport.
At Perth Airport, where he spent nearly seven years, Pereira was instrumental in leading the finance, treasury, strategy and IT departments. His tenure was marked by adept navigation through the financial challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, showcasing his resilience and strategic foresight.
In July 2023, Pereira joined Crown Perth as CFO, bringing with him over three decades of financial and corporate strategic leadership experience. His appointment came at a time when Crown Resorts was undergoing significant leadership restructuring to enhance operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. Pereira’s extensive background made him a valuable asset in steering the financial direction of Crown Perth during this transformative period.
Following the promotion of then-CEO David Tsai to President and Group COO of Crown Resorts in August 2024, Pereira was appointed as the Interim CEO of Crown Perth. Under his guidance, Crown Towers Perth achieved a significant milestone by earning a Five-Star rating from Forbes Travel Guide, distinguishing it as the only Australian hotel to receive this recognition.
Finally, in May 2025, it was announced that Pereira had been named as Crown Perth’s next CEO. As Pereira officially steps into the role of CEO at the property, his experience hopes to help him lead the organisation through its next phase of growth and transformation.
