DS Virtual Gaming: Returning to normality post-Covid-19

Araksi Sargsyan, DS Virtual Gaming, Head of Business Development, discusses how the company is returning to normality post-Covid and can once again look to the future.

How have the last 12 months been for DS Virtual Gaming?

We are tremendously glad that the pandemic has been declared over and that travel restrictions have been either eased or completely lifted. The few last months have been adventurous with exhibitions and fairs all over the world. We are back to business as usual and we are happy to see old faces and get the chance to network with new people from the industry.

From the company side, we have invested a great deal of time and resources in the development of new games and solutions and are proud to present Kickboxmania, Racing Harness and our latest Online Retail Solution.

We believe that the Online Retail Solution will change the way we think about retail as a separate discipline. We have managed to compress our entire gaming system using links and QR codes.

The links can be embedded in existing hardware in the betting shops or the QR codes can be scanned from the bettors’ mobile phones, this is the most innovative part.

The players enjoy full control over their bets and only need to pay for the tickets at the cash desk. What’s best about this is that bookmakers make a profit from the fact that they need to hire fewer cashiers, who will be crowding the betting shops.

Fewer mistakes are made since the customers are in charge of the entire betting process except for the payment. No new hardware needs to be purchased as existing ones can be used.

By using the exact same design as the web solution, we seamlessly merge online and offline. Given that all processes are automated we can connect all our products to dozens of bet shops in no time.

Europe, LatAm and Africa are still the most promising markets and we are keen to consolidate our presence on those continents. We have a positive attitude towards the future and are excited about what is yet to come

What makes your products stand out?

From day one it has been our philosophy to create virtual titles that are authentic. We do not follow the trends of the industry but rather focus on going in unconventional directions. Our niche products are developed with our own visions. Thinking outside the box might sometimes lead to misunderstandings of our ideas, but experience has proven time and time again that our exclusive products are workable and thriving.

How do you approach responsible gambling?

From the product side, we guarantee that all our games are watertight against manipulation and fraudulent use. We employ a certified random number generator where the odds settings cannot be changed. We know that security standards must be kept at all costs to ensure a long-term pleasurable gaming experience.

From the company side, we emphasise the notion of reputation. It is our utmost priority to collaborate with reputable partners who have permission to operate in the respective markets.

The company owns several licences, such as the Maltese, Romanian, UK and Italian licences and we are intending to gain new ones in the near future. Our latest additions are certifications in Colombia and Panama. Hence, we do not want to jeopardise losing any of those concessions and chose the authorised partners only.

Last but not least, annual security audits ensure that responsible gambling measures are kept at all times.

What are your plans for the next 12 months?

In these uncertain times, it is not simple to predict what will happen in the upcoming months, but generally speaking, we are focusing on continuing our growth path. We plan to initiate new projects and measures that will keep us one step ahead.

Europe, LatAm and Africa are still the most promising markets and we are keen to consolidate our presence on those continents. We have a positive attitude towards the future and are excited about what is yet to come.
