Scientific Games acquires ELK Studios

Scientific Games has strengthened its iGaming content offering and production capabilities with the acquisition of ELK Studios.

ELK Studios is a Stockholm-based developer with a history of producing mobile-first focused games. As per the agreement, the studio will also be able to work independently to create new titles while also benefiting from Scientific Games' wide range of resources that include commercial scale, market expansion, support in the US and Canada, game IP and data analytics tools.

By adding ELK Studios to its in-house portfolio of games, the supplier has further increased its capacity for creating iGaming content; the company’s plan is to take ELK’s content into the US and Canadian markets, while also enhancing its position as a content provider in the UK and Europe.

This deal follows Scientific Games' recent iGaming purchases of slot developer Lightning Box and live casino provider Authentic Gaming.
