Maverick Gaming, led by Eric Persson, has announced an agreement with Bally's Corporation.

The Bally's-owned Tropicana Las Vegas Resort and Casino will soon have a multifaceted poker venue thanks to this agreement.

Houston Curtis and Rick Mahr of Outlaw Media Group (OMG), established network showrunners and executive producers of Bally's Big Bet Poker livestream and television series, finalised the agreement.

Curtis said: “When Bally’s gave us the opportunity to expand the Bally’s Big Bet Poker brand to the Tropicana Las Vegas, we immediately thought of Eric as a tremendous asset, both on and off the felt. Persson’s industry expertise and proven ability to build successful poker rooms align with Bally’s omnichannel network.”

Jeremy Weinstein, Maverick Gaming CMO, said: “This will not be your typical run-of-the-mill poker venue. It's a place where adrenaline meets attitude and poker dreams come alive."

Arik Knowles, VP & GM for Tropicana Las Vegas, said: “We are very excited to be working with Mr. Persson and Maverick Gaming in an effort to also raise the stakes on inclusivity and affordability, treating players of all levels like VIPs.”

Fans will also see Persson participating in Bally's Big Bet Poker, which features a variety of players.

The opening date for the Maverick Gaming Poker Room will be announced soon.   Recently, Bally’s reported a revenue increase of 9% year-over-year totalling $598.7m in its Q1 2023 report. The company made a net income of $178.3m, a significant rise from $1.9m.
