International Game Technology (IGT) has released a new 10-game set for Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC).
In April 2023, AGLC and IGT officially began the implementation of the new game set. This rollout will continue until more than 2,600 of AGLC's outdated Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) are replaced with contemporary, IGT CrystalDual 27 VLTs that offer this new, popular game content.
David Flinn, IGT SVP Sales, Canada, Central and South America, said: "IGT's studio team carefully curated AGLC's localised game set to help the Lottery achieve peak player engagement and maximise revenues.
"The combination of leading hardware and games such as Cash Eruption, Big City 5's and Ocean Magic positions the Lottery for continued growth; and pairs perfectly with the other IGT products and services that have powered AGLC's operations for years."
IGT's gaming performance in Alberta serves as the foundation for this provincial content rollout. The Lottery's high-performing HD content is the company's first CrystalDual game set for AGLC, which was installed across more than 2,000 VLTs in the AGLC VLT network.
In addition to providing the province with interesting content, IGT also makes several IGT PlayDigital games, commercial casino cabinets, VLTs and the Intelligen central system accessible.
IGT's Board recently announced it is ‘considering strategic alternatives' for its Global Gaming and PlayDigital divisions, and listed the two subsidiaries for sale.
IGT has chosen Deutsche Bank, Macquarie Capital and Mediobanca to manage the sale, with Sidley Austin and White & Case serving as the transaction's legal counsel.
