Soft2Bet and ELA Games have gained Romanian licences, allowing both companies to operate in the region.

ELA Games has gained a Romanian Class 2 licence from the National Gambling Office (ONJN), with Soft2Bet gaining a first-class licence also from the ONJN.

The Romanian market is known for its comprehensive regulations and transparent operational environment, and has exhibited significant growth in recent years. This has made it a popular destination for companies to expand into.

This year, Soft2Bet also gained a five-year Swedish licence. ELA Games has entered into a number of deals this year, partnering with EveryMatrix and also partnering with Reevo

The news comes at a good time for ELA Games, as it has just rolled out its two latest, “Bandidos Cash” and “Detective Fortune.”

Soft2Bet’s General Counsel, David Yatom, said, “We consider the Romanian market as one of the pivotal markets for establishing our foothold in Eastern Europe.

"Acquiring a local Romanian operating licence marks an important step in our strategic expansion, building upon Soft2Bet’s success in other European markets. Stay tuned for more exciting developments in the near future.”

Daniel Mitton, the Director of Gaming and Business Development, said: "Obtaining the Romanian Class 2 licence is a remarkable achievement for ELA Games.

"It's a testament to our team's hard work, dedication, and the unique gaming experience we bring to the table. Even more importantly, this licence opens the door to new partnerships and possibilities in the thriving Romanian market."
