BoyleSports, the title sponsor of the Irish Grand National, is upping the ante for stable staff this year... with a boost to the “Best Turned Out” horse prize, now standing at €1,000 ($1,083).

This enhanced reward marks BoyleSports' 10th year of sponsorship for Ireland's most renowned race, which boasts a total prize fund of €500,000.

Esteemed Irish Olympian Joseph Murphy – a renowned eventer eyeing a comeback as part of the Irish Showjumping team in Paris this summer – will be tasked with selecting the most meticulously groomed horse from the parade ring.

Regarding his role, Murphy commented: “This is a terrific gesture by BoyleSports and I’m glad to see stable staff recognised for the continued care and attention they give their horses. They are a very creative bunch so I’m looking forward to seeing their ingenuity showcased on Easter Monday.”

To fuel the imagination of stable staff, BoyleSports has curated a special 'pamper hamper' containing an array of grooming aids, including stencils, blue glitter hoof oil, coloured bands and expert grooming tips.

Sharon McHugh, Head of PR & Sponsorship at BoyleSports, stated: “We are very proud to celebrate our tenth year sponsoring this legendary race and it’s a privilege to use the occasion to recognise the hard work put in by stable staff year in, year out.

“We know they’ll have some innovative ideas brewing and we can’t wait to see them come to life on Easter Monday, so may the prettiest horse win!”
