Betr Holdings has appointed Alex Kuwada as its new Head of Marketing, marking a strategic leadership change for the sports gaming and media company.
Kuwada, who previously worked at FanDuel as Senior Director of Growth, will manage Betr’s marketing efforts, focusing on user acquisition and retention strategies. He will report directly to CEO Joey Levy.
In addition to Kuwada’s appointment, Jesse Chemtob, previously Interim Head of Marketing, will move to the role of Interim Head of Commercial.
Chemtob will oversee commercial operations, including profit and loss optimisation, while continuing to collaborate with the marketing team. Chemtob brings experience from his tenure at FanDuel, where he helped grow the company's casino division.
In August 2024, Betr launched "Group Mode" for its fantasy sports platform, Betr Picks, allowing users to compete in a peer-to-peer format. Betr Picks is currently live in states such as Florida and Massachusetts, with plans to expand into 33 states, covering 65% of the US population.
The company also soft-launched its new sportsbook in Ohio and Virginia. The sportsbook, which is built on the Chameleon platform acquired by Betr in May 2023, offers various betting options and is expected to expand into additional states pending regulatory approval.
