Key points:

- Buzz Bingo launches ‘Big Money Live,’ offering a £100,000 prize pool

- The game allows simultaneous participation from both online and in-club players

- Integration of digital and retail bingo systems is achieved in collaboration with Playtech and ECM Systems

Buzz Bingo has introduced a new bingo concept called ‘Big Money Live,’ which connects online and in-club players in a single game.

This new feature allows players to compete for a full house prize of £100,000 ($130,221), the largest prize pool in UK bingo history.

The game will be available to players both online through BuzzBingo.com and in physical clubs.

The ‘Big Money Live’ sessions will be hosted twice daily by Buzz Bingo’s team of live bingo presenters from a dedicated studio in Derby.

The game pools stakes from both online and in-club participants, offering players a unified experience and larger prize pots.

Buzz Bingo’s new concept was developed in collaboration with Playtech and ECM Systems, resulting in the integration of digital and retail bingo platforms. This system merges legacy in-club bingo systems with online platforms, allowing for real-time participation from all players.

Good to know: The game uses streaming technology to connect players from different locations in a single bingo session.

Dave Evans, Buzz Group Chief Product Officer, commented: “The quality of our omnichannel offering across clubs and online is what makes Buzz unique. Players can now enjoy a game of bingo with regular six-figure prizes, from one of our clubs, or the comfort of their sofa.”

Richard Kearns, Head of Bingo Product at Buzz Bingo, added: “The launch of Big Money Live marks the culmination of a huge amount of collaboration between our partners, presenters, engineers, IT, marketing and operations.”

In July 2024, Buzz Bingo reported a 14% rise in EBITDA for FY23, with online revenue increasing by 31%. The company also acquired two Merkur Bingo clubs in the UK, contributing to its continued expansion in both digital and retail markets.
