FDJ implements UiPath automation to streamline key processes
FDJ’s automation initiative includes AI-driven email management and 100% verification of its new visual identity across 30,000 retail locations.
Key points:
– FDJ implemented UiPath automation for retailer registration, saving 250 workdays annually
– AI technology enables full visual identity verification across FDJ’s retail network
– Automation also processes 10,000 supplier emails annually, reducing manual workload
La Française des Jeux (FDJ) has successfully integrated UiPath’s automation platform to optimise three of its core business processes.
FDJ, which serves over 25 million players and operates across nearly 30,000 retail locations, adopted AI and automation in hopes of driving efficiency and accuracy in its operations.
One of the key implementations was the retailer registration process through the ACPR project, which automated the extraction and verification of retailer data.
By utilising UiPath Document Understanding, FDJ was reportedly able to save 250 working days annually, processing 6,000 retailers each year.
Good to know: In early October, FDJ completed its tender offer for Kindred Group, acquiring over 90% of the company’s shares – totalling 91.8% as of FDJ’s Q3 report
In addition, FDJ launched the NIV (Nouvelle Identité Visuelle) project to ensure brand consistency across its network. UiPath’s AI-powered image analysis now enables 100% verification of FDJ’s new visual identity across all retail locations, replacing sample-based quality control with comprehensive checks.
The third project, Mails Fournisseurs, employs AI models through UiPath’s AI Center to manage approximately 10,000 supplier emails per year. This system automates the classification of emails and extraction of relevant data for the finance team, reducing manual effort and aiming for full automation in future phases.
FDJ’s collaboration with UiPath follows its long-term partnership with Scientific Games, which was renewed in 2024 to continue providing scratch card products. It also follows from FDJ’s three-year partnership agreement announcement with IGT, with the latter to provide instant ticket games for the lottery operator.
