Key points:

- 3 Oaks has received certification for the Romanian online gaming market

- The supplier will now be able to distribute iGaming content in the region

- This development comes following its entry into the Romanian market last year

3 Oaks Gaming has announced it has received official certification from Romania’s National Gaming Office (ONJN), ahead of its entry into the nation’s marketplace.

Indeed, this latest regulatory certification will allow 3 Oaks Gaming to distribute its online gaming titles to players in the Romanian region, including titles such as Coin UP: Lightning, Sun of Egypt 4 and 3 Hot Chillies.

After initially receiving a licence to enter the Romanian market as part of a phase of European expansion last spring, 3 Oaks expanded into the nation in June 2024, establishing it as a strategic Southeast European hub. Now, this latest action looks to further solidify its position within the market.

Commenting on the development, Yuriy Muratov, Chief Commercial Officer at 3 Oaks Gaming, said: "Securing certification for our games in Romania represents an important milestone for 3 Oaks Gaming as we continue to extend our reach across Europe.

“This achievement demonstrates our focus on providing engaging, compliant and high-quality content to new markets. Romania is a vibrant and growing market, and we are eager to collaborate with local operators to bring our diverse range of games to players in the country.”

Good to know: In September 2024, the Romanian regulator released a new order on the Joint Operation of Gambling Activities for both B2B & B2C organisations

It was a busy year last year for 3 Oaks, with the supplier setting its sights on European expansion which saw licences obtained from the UK’s Gambling Commission, alongside certification within the Portuguese market.

Further, after also entering the Brazilian market via EstrelaBet in March last year, 3 Oaks has more recently partnered with RSI in the LatAm region, following on from an additional partnership agreement reached with WA.Technology in August.
