BoyleSports has announced the appointment of Gold Cup-winning jockey Bryan Cooper as its latest horseracing ambassador, just weeks before the start of the Cheltenham Festival.

Cooper, who secured victory in the 2016 Cheltenham Gold Cup aboard Don Cossack, will provide insights, race previews and analysis for BoyleSports customers and horseracing fans.

Cooper joins an established team of racing representatives at BoyleSports, partnering with Robbie ‘Puppy’ Power and trainer John ‘Shark’ Hanlon.

His transition into analysis has been well received, having recently contributed to BoyleSports’ Cheltenham Festival preview night at Limerick Racecourse, which raised funds for Irish Injured Jockeys.

Speaking about his new role, Cooper said: “I am delighted to be joining the BoyleSports family and look forward to sharing my experiences and insights with racing fans.

“As huge supporters of racing, particularly in Ireland, BoyleSports is a brand that clearly values this great sport, and I’m thrilled to be on board in time for another Cheltenham Festival which promises so much excitement.”

Good to know: Cooper also shared his top Cheltenham tip, backing Galopin Des Champs to secure a third consecutive Gold Cup victory, emphasising the horse’s dominant performances in the Irish Gold Cup at Leopardstown

BoyleSports’ Head of PR & Sponsorship, Sharon McHugh, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Bryan Cooper as our new horseracing ambassador to strengthen our commitment to providing top-tier analysis and tips.

“With such an impressive career, and alongside Robbie and Shark, we’re confident Bryan’s addition to the team to form a fantastic racing trio will bring an added dimension to our racing coverage. We look forward to working with him during the Cheltenham Festival and beyond.”

This latest move continues BoyleSports’ growing presence in Irish racing sponsorship and ambassadorial partnerships, following its five-year agreement to sponsor the Munster National at Limerick Racecourse.
