Key points:
- EstrelaBet has joined the IBIA to enhance betting integrity and combat match-fixing
- The partnership aligns the operator with over 140 global brands and Brazil’s Ministry of Finance
EstrelaBet has announced its membership in the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), marking a commitment to combating match-fixing and fraud in the sports betting industry.
The IBIA has an established cooperation agreement with Brazil’s Ministry of Finance, aiming to safeguard the integrity of the country’s sports betting sector.
Through this membership, EstrelaBet will enhance its monitoring efforts – leveraging data-driven strategies to detect and prevent suspicious betting activities.
The operator has already implemented a match-fixing prevention policy and collaborates with monitoring services such as Genius Sports.
Good to know: IBIA’s global integrity monitoring network tracks transactional activities linked to customer accounts, with its members generating over $300bn in annual betting volume – approximately 50% of the global regulated commercial sports betting market
Commenting on the new partnership, Fellipe Fraga, Chief Business Officer at EstrelaBet, stated: “Partnering with IBIA, a globally recognised institution in betting integrity, reinforces our commitment to adopting best practices and increasing oversight in preventing match-fixing and fraud. This contributes to a safer and more transparent environment for everyone’s entertainment.”
Khalid Ali, CEO at IBIA, added: “We are delighted that EstrelaBet has become a member of the International Betting Integrity Association, joining a growing list of operators licensed in Brazil committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity.
“This partnership enhances the reach of our world-class betting integrity monitoring network, supporting efforts to safeguard the newly regulated Brazilian online sports betting market. We look forward to working closely with Estrelabet to protect its customers and sportsbook business from the threats of betting-related corruption.”
This development follows EstrelaBet's recent collaboration with Pragmatic Play, which saw the launch of a customised Smart Studio solution in December 2024.
