BoyleSports has strengthened its presence in British horse racing by becoming the title sponsor of the Lockinge Stakes at Newbury Racecourse.

Under a new three-year agreement, the bookmaker will hold the naming rights to the Group 1 contest, which will now be known as The BoyleSports Lockinge with Ladies Day until 2027.

The Lockinge Stakes, set to take place on Saturday 17 May is a key fixture in the Flat racing season and boasts a total prize fund of £400,000 ($518,000).

Open to horses aged four and above, the race is one of eight World Pool events on the card, held in collaboration with The Hong Kong Jockey Club.

The partnership will also see BoyleSports sponsor an additional race on the day, the BoyleSports Handicap Stakes, a Class 2 Handicap worth £75,000.

Shaun Hinds, CEO at Newbury Racecourse, added: “We are delighted to announce the new partnership with BoyleSports and extend our thanks for their support of the Lockinge Stakes.

“This Group 1 race is the feature of our Flat season and a clear highlight in our racing year here at Newbury and we are pleased to welcome BoyleSports as the new headline partner for this incredibly important and popular fixture.

“BoyleSports is a big supporter of Irish racing, and we are very proud to be able to work alongside them to extend their sponsorship portfolio in Britain.”

This latest sponsorship follows BoyleSports' recent digital partnership with Spotlight Sports Group, which will see the integration of Smart View racecards ahead of the Cheltenham Festival.
