– The pair originally entered into collaboration in 1988
The Florida Lottery has announced a three-year extension with Scientific Games’ Enhanced Partnership Program – further enhancing the pair’s pre-existing collaborative relationship.
Indeed, Scientific Games has acted as the Florida Lottery’s sole supplier of scratch card games since the lottery’s inception in 1988. During the 37-year-long collaborative period, annual Florida Lottery Scratch-Off sales have increased from a figure of $584m to over $6bn – with Scientific Games having been a full partner of the Florida Lottery since 1997.
As part of the pair’s current partnership, the Florida Lottery utilises a range of Scientific Games’ analytic, portfolio management, logistic optimisation, game planning and licenced brand technology services. Subsequently, the organisation’s profits are then reinvested into the Sunshine State’s public schools, colleges and universities – alongside the Bright Futures Scholarship Program.
Speaking on this new development, John F. Davis, Florida Lottery Secretary, said: “Our mission is to maximise revenues for the enhancement of public education in Florida, which have totalled more than $48bn thus far. Since 1997, we’ve helped send more than one million Florida students to college on a Bright Futures Scholarship. By extending our Scratch-Off games partnership with Scientific Games, we will continue to put our students’ dreams of higher education within reach.”
Also discussing the news was John Schulz, President Americas and Global Instant Products for Scientific Games, who stated: “The Florida Lottery’s partnership and collaboration with Scientific Games has resulted in Scratch-Off performance that is consistently among the best in the world. We’re very proud that our work together has continually improved instant game profits to benefit education in Florida.”
