Key points:

– Tipico has obtained ISO 14001:2015 environmental certification

– This certification recognises the company’s efforts towards sustainable practices

Operator Tipico has received the ISO 14001:2015 certification for its Environmental Management System (EMS), following an enhanced focus on sustainable practices across its German and Malta-based office locations.

Originally incepted in 1996, the ISO 14001 provides organisations with a range of environmental responsibility regulatory guidance, improvement initiatives and management frameworks in order to aid companies in achieving their respective sustainability objectives.

Indeed, over recent months, Tipico has implemented a number of policies which sought to strategically align with the requirements specified by ISO 14001:2015. Subsequently, the operator has now been awarded official certification following a stringent auditing and operational assessment process.

This newly obtained certification specifically relates to environmental policies and procedures undertaken at the Tipico headquarters in Malta, as well as its German technology offices in both Munich and Karlsruhe. The company has now specified its intentions to continue pushing forwards with enhanced environmentally sustainable initiatives.

Good to know: Tipico announced the official appointment of a new CEO in Axel Hefer in June 2024

Since that time, the operator also announced its intentions to acquire Novomatic’s Admiral Group in Austria – as part of a deal that would see Tipico obtain a 100% stake in Atlas Group Gmbh, but remains subject to regulatory approval.

More recently, this month, Tipico entered into a new content integration collaboration with supplier Zeal, a move that was closely followed by the announcement of an additional partnership with Games Global in Germany.
