– Expansion achieved in partnership with Casino Guru

– Move follows recent global growth, including 20,000 active users in Brazil and launches in Serbian, Japanese and French

BetBlocker has announced the launch of a Finnish-language version of its gambling blocking software, making the charity’s free services available to millions of additional users in their native language.

The expansion was facilitated through a partnership with Casino Guru, which provided support to help the charity reach broader audiences.

Duncan Garvie, BetBlocker’s Founder, acknowledged Casino Guru’s role in the development, highlighting the company’s consistent support for the charity over several years.

Garvie noted that Casino Guru has invested time and resources to help BetBlocker grow and ensure awareness of the support services among their readership.

The Finnish launch continues BetBlocker’s strategy of expanding language accessibility to improve global reach.

The charity has previously demonstrated that launching services in native languages can increase user engagement significantly, particularly for individuals seeking support during crisis periods.

Good to know: BetBlocker’s blocking software enables users to restrict access to over 90,000 gambling websites and 1,500 gambling apps

This expansion follows significant growth in other markets, with Brazil emerging as BetBlocker’s fastest-growing territory after reaching over 20,000 active users since January 2025.

The Brazilian success followed the launch of a Portuguese-language version in September 2024, targeting the country’s developing regulated gaming market.

The charity has implemented similar language-specific rollouts in recent months, including Serbian and Japanese versions of its app.

BetBlocker has also strengthened its North American presence by joining the National Council on Problem Gambling as its only Gold Non-Profit Member.
