UFC and Galaxy Macau unveil four-year partnership for Fight Nights

Key points:

– UFC and Galaxy Macau sign deal to host three Fight Night events between 2026 and 2029

– Galaxy Arena selected as official venue for all events

– Season 5 of Road to UFC tournament to kick off in Macau

UFC and Galaxy Macau have announced a new strategic partnership that will see three UFC Fight Night events held in Macau over a four-year period starting in 2026. All events will take place at the Galaxy Arena, the city’s largest and most advanced indoor venue.

As part of the collaboration, the upcoming fifth season of Road to UFC will also begin in Macau. The tournament provides a structured path for emerging MMA fighters across Asia-Pacific to earn a UFC contract, with previous seasons having produced 18 UFC athletes from the region, including several from China.

Galaxy Arena will provide fans with a premium live experience, offering clear views from every seat and high-end production facilities.

UFC President and CEO Dana White described the timing of the partnership as ideal, following what he called an incredible recent trip to China.

Good to know: Macau has hosted UFC events since 2012, with the most recent, UFC Fight Night: Yan vs Figueiredo, selling out in 2023

The announcement builds on the UFC’s growing footprint in Asia, which also saw a sell-out crowd for UFC Fight Night: Walker vs Zhang in Shanghai. Macau’s connectivity, tourism appeal and infrastructure make it an attractive destination for global sporting events.

Galaxy Entertainment Group’s COO – Macau, Kevin Kelley, highlighted the resort’s ongoing role in supporting sports tourism and said the collaboration reflects alignment with Macau SAR Government’s development goals.

The events are expected to bolster local engagement with mixed martial arts and further position Macau as a key hub for regional and international sporting showcases.
