Sports media group North Star Network expands its portfolio by acquiring UK-based sports news site SportsMole.co.uk.

FanDuel is owned by Flutter, which recently launched on the New York Stock Exchange.

The offer will last until the end of the year, although what happens until then remains to be seen.

The deal, valued at €27.5m ($29.6m) on a cash and debt-free basis, is funded through Betsson's own liquid assets.

The acquisition, subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions, is expected to be finalised by the second half of 2024.

The operator cites the acquisition of ZEturf as a significant contributor to its online gaming revenue, with FDJ contributing 0.3% to France’s GDP. 

Following a meeting with the shareholders, it appears the merger will go ahead at the end of the calendar year.
