Jaldung was named the Chief Executive of the Year at the Global Gaming Awards London 2021. He accepted his Award during a virtual ceremony due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic at the time.
EMPLOYMENT
Jaldung’s career actually started within policing, following on from the education he received, which included studying Criminal Law as well as Police Studies, on top of other qualifications.
Between 1991 and 1995, he was a Police Officer with the Stockholm Police Department, before he joined the National Criminal Investigation Department where he spent seven years, serving roles as a Detective Inspector and an Acting Detective Superintendent.
Much of his career, however, has been within the casino industry.
For nearly 21 years, between June 2002 and March 2023, Jaldung was with Casino Cosmopol, serving as a Security Manager between June 2002 and September 2005, before taking on the role of General Manager between September 2005 and November 2008.
It was then he was appointed CEO of the company, which saw Jaldung oversee a variety of areas within the business, including the casino, restaurants and facilities.
Jaldung was also the Head of AB Svenska Spel VLT Operations (Vegas) across Sweden, in partnership with 1400 restaurants.
Casino Cosmopol operates three international casinos in Sweden, while Svenska Spel has approximately 4000 Video Lottery Terminals at 1400 locations around Sweden.
In February 2015 he was appointed Chairman of the Board at the European Casino Association, a position he held for around eight years, before being made the Honorary President of the Association in February 2023.
The European Casino Association represents national associations and individual operators of licensed land-based casinos in Europe.
Between May 2022 and May 2023, he was a Board Member of Almega Tjänsteförbunden.
