EMPLOYMENT

Rumboldz’s high-profile involvement in the gaming industry began in 1985 when he served as a Board Member for the Nevada Gaming Control Board. He held this position for two and a half years before moving up to the rank of Chairman in June 1987, a position which he held for a further year and a half.

In 1989, Rumboldz moved on to become the Executive Vice President of The Trump Organization. He held this position for three years from 1989 to 1992. During this time, Rumboldz was also working as the President of Trump’s Nevada operations. Throughout these positions, Rumbolz became a part of the executive team responsible for opening up the Trump Taj Mahal and was also licensed as the Executive Vice President of Trump Castle in Atlantic City.

After this, Rumbolz took on the role of Corporate Development at Circus Circus Enterprises, a position that he held for three years from 1992 to 1995. He then became the President of Anchor Gaming from April 1995 to March 2000.

Next, Rumbolz had a brief stint as the Vice Chairman of Casino Data Systems then took on the role of Chairman and CEO of Cash Systems in January 2005. He held this position for just shy of four years before leaving in September 2008.

In the period that followed, Rumbolz largely focused on his role as a member of various boards. He was a Member of the Board of Directors/Board of Trustees for Affinity Gaming, Poydras Gaming Finance Corp, Global Cash Access, Employers, Nathan Adelson Hospice, Seminole Hard Rock Holdings and Vici Properties. Of these, he is still a board member of the latter three, having been a Member of the Board of Trustees for 25 years.

Finally, in February 2016, Rumbolz became the Chairman and CEO of Everi Holdings, a position that he still holds to this day. It was during his reign at Everi Holdings that Rumbolz was elected to be the new Chairman of the American Gaming Association, a position that he will begin in January 2024.

In regards to Rumbolz’s upcoming tenure as Chair, Bill Miller, AGA President and CEO, said: “It’s an honour to welcome Mike, an industry legend in his own right, as the next AGA chairman. Mike’s career as an operator, manufacturer and regulator is unparalleled and will be vital to driving meaningful progress on industry priorities.”

I am grateful for the opportunity to help shape gaming’s future as the AGA’s next chair. From stopping illegal gambling to evolving responsible gambling, the AGA is tackling transformational issues and I am eager to build on the progress made during Jim’s tenure. Michael Rumbolz
