IGT expands its omnichannel offering in Canada

International Game Technology (IGT) has announced the extension of its omnichannel MegaJackpots and Powerbucks games in Canada with a rollout on the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) online gaming portal PlayAlberta.ca.

IGT’s Powerbucks and MegaJackpots games are now available coast to coast in Canada for the first time.

Powerbucks connects the jackpot prize pool between digitally based games and gaming machines found in physical casinos. Digital wide area progressive jackpot network MegaJackpots is the sole product of IGT PlayDigital.

David Flinn, IGT SVP, Canada, South and Central America, said: “IGT is thrilled to expand our wildly successful Powerbucks network to AGLC, now delivering the excitement of these omnichannel WAP jackpot games to players across all Canadian jurisdictions where online gaming is legal and regulated.

“AGLC players will have more opportunities to win big rewards with the launch of IGT PlayDigital’s MegaJackpots games featuring IGT themes. For AGLC, our wide area progressive games help differentiate its online casino, drive growth and provide the ultimate player experiences.”

With the introduction of games like Powerbucks, Wheel of Fortune, Exotic Far East, Wheel of Fortune Ruby Riches, MegaJackpots Cleopatra and Wolf Run, gamers in Alberta will now have the chance to win jackpots.

IGT recently released a new 10-game set for AGLC.

AGLC and IGT formally started implementing the new game set in April 2023. This rollout will continue until IGT CrystalDual 27 VLTs, which provide in-demand gaming content, have replaced more than 2,600 of AGLC’s antiquated Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs).
