Genius Sports and First extend data partnership to support LatAm expansion

Key points:

– Genius Sports to continue supplying betting data and streaming services to First

– Expanded LatAm coverage includes top-tier football competitions across South America

– First named as Genius Sports’ official betting partner in latest agreement

Genius Sports has renewed and expanded its data and streaming partnership with sportsbook platform provider First, in a move aimed at scaling operations across Latin America and increasing global data distribution volumes.

Under the terms of the new agreement, Genius Sports will continue to supply First with its official sports betting data and streaming content, which First will then distribute across its network of B2B partners.

The partnership focuses on expanding reach in LatAm, where Brazil remains a key market amid ongoing regulatory developments and growing consumer interest.

The agreement includes access to live data and video from a range of major competitions in the region, such as Brazil’s Série A and Série B, Campeonato Paulista, Mexico’s Liga MX and top-flight leagues in Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia and more.

First has also been named Genius Sports’ official betting partner, with the data provider now recommending the company’s sportsbook solution to operators seeking fully managed betting services.

Good to know: In March 2025, Genius Sports signed a deal with Grid Esports to access live data and streams from titles such as League of Legends, Valorant and Dota 2

Tom Light, CEO of First, said: “We have been working with Genius Sports for many years… the new agreement will enable us to continue growing revenues for Genius Sports as we launch new partners and expand our network.”

Genuis Sports reported $510.9m in revenue for 2024, up 24% year-on-year. However, it has faced recent legal scrutiny, including an antitrust lawsuit filed by Panda Interactive.

This latest deal with First signals a continued focus on high-growth regions and reinforces Genius Sports’ position as a data supplier across both traditional and emerging sports categories.
