Key points:
– Pollard Banknote has been granted a gaming-related vendor licence in the UAE
– The organisation will now be able to distribute its gaming titles to operators in the nation
– This development follows a flurry of recent market activity in the nation
Supplier Pollard Banknote Limited has announced its official entry into the UAE market via approval from the nation’s regulator, the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA).
As a licensed lottery and gaming provider in the UAE market, Pollard Banknote is now able to distribute its gaming options to operators in the nation’s fast developing gambling landscape.
Indeed, since the licensure and subsequent launch of the UAE’s first-ever regulated lottery in 2024, the nation has continued to build long-term foundations for its new industry – with a flurry of gaming suppliers having been granted entry into the market in recent months.
For the supplier, this latest announcement follows a new partnership with Premier Lotteries Ireland brokered towards the end of 2024.
Speaking on this latest development, Pollard Banknote Co-CEO Doug Pollard said: “We are very excited for the wide variety of opportunities this new license will afford Pollard Banknote. We are eager to foster a strong partnership in the UAE and introduce our portfolio of proven, innovative lottery and gaming products and services that will help boost revenue and support charitable causes.”
Good to know: There are currently 14 gaming-related vendor licensees listed on the GCGRA website
It has been a busy month in the UAE market, with this news following the announcement that both Light & Wonder and Konami Gaming had also been granted licensure by the GCGRA last week.
Further, an additional recent announcement saw Hard Rock International unveil plans for a new hotel and residence development in the UAE city of Ras Al Khaimah.
This development will be located a half-an-hour drive from Wynn’s Al Marjan Island hotel & casino complex – which is now officially set for a 2027 opening.
