MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

After completing the Tropicana Las Vegas takeover deal in September 2022, Bally's started focusing on the upcoming casino at 777 West Chicago Avenue in River West. The state-of-the-art permanent facility is scheduled to open in June 2026 and is expected to reach 4.5 million admissions annually.

AWARDS

In 2022, Kim received an Excellence in Philanthropy Award from PISTE (Prescod Institute for Sport, Teamwork and Education), a community fencing programme that provides students with pathways to become champions, leaders and scholars through the martial art of fencing.

EMPLOYMENT

Kim is the Founding Partner of Standard General, an investment firm, and also serves as the firm's Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer.

Kim is also the Co-Founder of Cyrus Capital Partners, and was in charge of special situations strategies at Och-Ziff Capital Management from 1999 to 2005, where he was a Principal and Co-Founder of the fixed-income business.

Before Och-Ziff Capital Management, Kim was an Analyst for the Capital Management Group at Bankers Trust Company between 1997 and 1999. Kim is a former board member of Greektown Superholdings and Media General, and the Board of Managers of ALST Casino Holdco.

PRODUCTS LAUNCHED

In August 2022, Bally's signed a marketing partnership that designated Bally Bet as an official sports betting partner of the MLB World Series Championship – Bally's first sports agreement in New York.
