Carano is the grandson of Eldorado Resorts Founder and Patriarch Don Carano. He leads at Caesars with the same family philosophy that sustained Eldorado Resorts for decades, which includes treating all staff and guests like members of the family.
Along with his roles at Caesars, Carano sits on the University of Nevada Athletic Association’s Board of Directors.
Carano has served in several leadership roles prior to taking his current position with Caesars Entertainment. He first joined the leadership team at Eldorado Resorts in 2014, serving as its Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of the company.
He was later appointed as Eldorado Resorts’ COO in May 2017.
Prior to serving with his family’s company, Carano practiced law in the state of Nevada and worked for the McDonald Carano Wilson, LLP firm. He focused on gaming, transactional and regulatory law while at his practice.
Under his leadership, Caesars recently partnered with Raynham Park to offer Massachusetts sports betting fans will have access to a new retail sportsbook location. The new sportsbook is the first Caesars location in the state and will open south of Boston, pending approval by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
Once completed, the 30,000-square-foot facility will take its place among other large free-standing race and sports wagering locations around the US.
The two plan to open a temporary sportsbook at Raynham Park before it moves to its permanent location, pending necessary approval. The new sportsbook will give players access to “an elevated atmosphere fit for a Caesar.”
Construction is scheduled to be completed by the middle of the year.
During his time with Caesars, the company has also released its Caesars Sportsbook mobile app in Illinois. The debut of its mobile app served as an added layer to Caesars’ continuing plans for brand expansion.
