President and COO
Caesars Entertainment
Anthony Carano has emerged as one of the most influential leaders in modern U.S. gaming, blending deep legal expertise with a multi-generational understanding of casino operations. As President and Chief Operating Officer of Caesars Entertainment, Anthony Carano plays a central role in guiding one of the world’s largest gaming companies through an era of consolidation, digital expansion, and regulatory complexity.

Anthony Carano joined Eldorado Resorts, a family-founded company, in 2014. In 2020, Eldorado Resorts acquired Caesars Entertainment Corporation, and following the merger, the company was renamed Caesars Entertainment. Anthony continued his role as President and Chief Operating Officer.
Under Anthony’s leadership, Caesars made a significant $32.5 million investment for expansion and enhancements at Indiana Grand Racing & Casino in March 2021. In 2023, Caesars made a $400 million investment in its three Atlantic City casinos.
Under the stewardship of Anthony Carano, Caesars Palace has demonstrated strong ambition, with initial plans for a $400 million Raynham Park sportsbook, as well as celebrity residencies (including those of Jennifer Lopez), a five-year charter agreement with Sun Country Airlines, and the launch of two exclusive new slots titles – House of Anubis and Kingdom of Horus. These moves reflect Anthony’s focus on long-term brand expansion and regulated market growth.
Before stepping into executive color leadership in the gambling sector, Anthony Carano built his professional foundation in law. He practised in Nevada with McDonald Carano Wilson, LLP, specializing in gaming, transactional, and regulatory law.
This early exposure to the legal frameworks involved in the U.S. gambling industry provided Anthony with a detailed understanding of compliance, licensing, and operational risk, all skills that would later prove invaluable as he rose to become U.S. casino executive.
In 2014, Anthony joined Eldorado Resorts, the company founded by his grandfather, Don Carano. Rather than entering the business in an operational role, Anthony was appointed Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, reflecting his legal background and strategic knowledge.
During this period, Eldorado pursued an aggressive growth strategy, and Anthony became deeply involved in mergers and acquisitions and regulatory negotiations. His work helped support the company’s rapid expansion while maintaining the family-driven philosophy that defined Eldorado’s culture — treating employees and guests as extended family.
This influence continued to grow when he was finally appointed President & Chief Operating Officer of Eldorado Resorts in May 2017. In this role, Anthony transitioned from primarily legal responsibilities into full operational oversight, managing day-to-day performance across a growing portfolio of casino properties.
His tenure as President and COO coincided with Eldorado’s transformation from a regional operator into a national powerhouse, culminating in the landmark 2020 acquisition of Caesars by Eldorado Resorts.
Following the acquisition, Anthony Carano was named President and COO of Caesars Entertainment, one of the most recognizable brands in global gaming. In this role, he has been instrumental in integrating Eldorado and Caesars operations, aligning corporate culture, and overseeing large-scale strategic initiatives.
Anthony Carano is widely regarded as a steady and pragmatic leader who balances corporate scale with a family-oriented management philosophy rooted in Eldorado’s heritage. Beyond Caesars, Anthony also serves on the University of Nevada Athletic Association’s Board of Directors, reinforcing ties to the region where his career began.
As Caesars continues to navigate digital transformation, sports betting expansion, and evolving regulation, Anthony remains a central figure in shaping the company’s operational strategy and future direction.
