MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS
During his time at Wynn Resorts as SVP and Treasurer, Zahn finalised more than $12bn of capital markets and M&A deals.
Zahn was also instrumental in the $1.7bn sale-leaseback transaction of Encore Boston Harbor to Realty Income.
While at Pinnacle Entertainment, he was responsible for more than $10bn in deals, including the $3bn merger with Penn National Gaming.
EMPLOYMENT
Zahn became CFO after more than a decade’s worth of experience in positions at public gaming companies where he’s focused on corporate finance, risk management, treasury, investor relations, capital markets and strategic development. Prior to joining Hard Rock and Seminole Gaming, Zahn was SVP and Treasurer for Wynn Resorts, from 2019 to 2022.
Zahn started his career in the financial sector on Wall Street working as an equity analyst where he covered casino gaming and hospitality companies for Bank of America Merrill Lynch. After leaving Wall Street, Zahn served as the Vice President and Treasurer of Pinnacle Entertainment for seven years.
Zahn's appointment comes after the grand opening of the new Hard Rock sportsbook in collaboration with the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise in the Twin Arrows Navajo Casino Resort, Arizona. The sportsbooks features eight kiosks and two betting windows. The sportsbook opened on July 8, 2023 with baseball icon Luis Gonzalez in attendance.
Zahn reports directly to Jim Allen, the Chairman of Hard Rock International and CEO of Seminole Gaming.
