Morris is a digital gaming specialist with a proven track record of launching successful brands, including guiding Stepstone through a noteworthy IPO, contributing to the development of industry standards like ISO 9001 and achieving revenue targets through strategic leadership at Virgin Games.

PRODUCTS LAUNCHED

Morris's journey in the digital gaming and product marketing arena commenced at Stepstone in 1999. Initially joining as a Marketing Executive, he swiftly rose to the position of Product Marketing Manager. During this pivotal phase of his career, Joshua played a significant role in launching the Stepstone brand and guiding it through an initial public offering in 2000. His strategic acumen contributed to the development of product and marketing strategies during the early years of the dotcom era.

Building on his foundation at Stepstone, Morris transitioned to BSI Management System in November 2001 as a Category Manager at BVGroup. Here, he was part of a strategic marketing team that focused on evaluating industry trends to develop new Management System standards, including ISO 9001. This experience honed his skills in strategic analysis and trend evaluation.

In March 2003, Morris took on the role of Product Marketing Manager at Victor Chandler, where he developed and implemented a product marketing strategy for the Victor Chandler casino product, the Spin Room. During his tenure, he also successfully launched, managed and marketed white label relationships with brands such as Wanadoo, Racing Post, Page 3, Daily Star, and FHM.

Morris's career trajectory led him to Virgin Games in October 2004, where he assumed the role of Product Manager. In this capacity, he crafted a strategy for the launch and growth of Virgin Games products, managed CRM and marketing plans, led teams, managed budgets and consistently achieved revenue targets. He also forged collaborations with software partners and technical teams, contributing to the development of a differentiated product offering.

As his tenure at Virgin Games progressed, Morris advanced to the role of Commercial Director in April 2007, marking a significant milestone in his career. Here, he was entrusted with the formulation and execution of business and product strategies for all internet gaming products. His responsibilities expanded to include managing customer acquisition and retention, overseeing product development, and playing an active role in the sale of Virgin Games to Gamesys.

In February 2013, Morris embarked on a consultancy path, serving as a Director & Gaming Consultant at Digital Eyot. During this four-year tenure, he specialised in digital product and proposition development, market positioning and marketing within the digital gaming sector. His portfolio of clients included Gamesys, Game Account, LeoVegas, Virgin Group, OpenBet, Ever Adventure, Massa Innovations, and Every Fan.

As his career continued to ascend, Morris joined IGT in January 2017 as the Senior Commercial Director. In this strategic role, he spearheaded the commercial development and growth of IGT's interactive product offering across EMEA and Latam.

Morris's journey led him to become General Manager at Roxor Gaming in October 2019. In this influential role, Morris leads a talented team deeply committed to enhancing player experiences, elevating entertainment value and fostering successful partnerships.

Morris currently holds the position of Head of iGaming Content & Strategy at Anaxi, a role that underscores his commitment to driving progress and innovation in the gaming industry.

In a recent interview with Gaming America, Morris highlighted Anaxi's strides in the gaming industry, with the successful launch of the Buffalo mobile game, expanding distribution across North America, and forging strategic partnerships. He also emphasized Anaxi's commitment to embracing the evolving gaming landscape, bridging iGaming and traditional land-based formats, ultimately focusing on engaging players across multiple channels.
