Marcus Yoder’s appointment as CCO of Playtech comes following a lifetime experience in technology and gaming, having spent time as vice president and as an advisory board member for a wide range of companies.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

Yoder came into the industry with a wealth of education and continued expanding upon this education during the early stages of his career. In 1992 he graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a BA in German and International Business, and during the period of 1995 – 1997 he gained an MBA from both Fundacao Getulio Vargas and The University of Chicago - Booth School of Business, receiving these two certifications in Management and Marketing & Finance, respectively.  

His first position as director came about in 1999, with his appointment as Director of Business Development for software development company Oblix. In this position, he created the Oblix Global Partner Program, which allowed the company to reach YTD revenues of $5.7 million in FY 2001. In 2005 the company was acquired by Oracle. Being a part of company development became a trend in Yoder's career from this point out, giving him a total of 21 years' experience in directing, managing, board and C-Suite positions before taking on the role of CCO at Playtech in March 2022.  

EMPLOYMENT

After his first Director position in 1999, Yoder went on to spend three years as a Director at Agile Software, in the position of Director of Life Sciences Industry and Director of Industry Marketing from January 2002 to February 2005.  

From January 2008 to June 2010, Yoder took on the position of Senior Management at Kalypso, a consultancy and services company for businesses. In this position, he led Digital Social Engagement practices and was responsible for engagement management, new business development and consultant development. In his first ten months he generated $1 million in consulting revenue and was noted for his ability to bring Web 2.0 technologies to businesses to help maximise business strategy, product launch and more in the developing Internet age.  

During his time at Kalypso, Yoder was also the COO and co-founder of Veeker, a multimedia messaging platform. He worked with the company for nearly five years, and in this position helped raise funds for the business, led business development, legal and finances for the business, and much more. 

In September 2014 Yoder took on his first Vice President position, at video gaming company Gamblit Gaming, who created a variety of skill-based and chance-based games. This was not Yoders first brush with the gambling industry, having worked with International Game Technology previously, however it would also not be his last.  

Starting in 2018 and continuing until today, Yoder took on several Board of Director positions. These are at Brighter Children, Maraleyo Technology Holdings, Sparket and the American Gaming Association. These all preluded to his appointment as CCO at Playtech, which occurred in March 2022 and continues to today.  

PRODUCTS LAUNCHED

Playtech specialise in creating efficient and forward-thinking gambling technologies for operators and has done so since its inception in 1999. The gaming software supplier currently operates with 180 global licenses and 30 regulated jurisdictions and has partnered with notable casino and betting companies like Ladbrokes. As CCO, it is Yoder's responsibility to ‘bring the full set of Playtech gaming verticals to the USA.’
