Online gambling was regulated in 2013, making it one of the first North American jurisdictions to do so. In its FY2023 report, the Division reported an annual revenue of $1.9bn, an increase of 16% when compared to the year before.

Since marijuana was legalised and regulated in 2021, Princeton Global Strategies has been one of the key companies in dealing with the compliance aspects. In the New Jersey's Cannabis Regulatory Commission reports, the total legal sales for 2023 in the state reached $675.5m, a 105% increase from the year prior.
