Head of Human Resources
Seminole Hard Rock Support Services
Meaghan Ryan is a well-practised human resources professional with over a decade of experience in the industry. In July 2024, Ryan was appointed as the new Head of Human Resources for Seminole Hard Rock Support Services – a role that sees her reporting to Stephanie Piimauna.
During her time at Caesars, she was responsible for innovating and implementing recruitment programs to maintain the state-required minimum staffing number of 2,400 employees. After her efforts were recognised, she was brought on as HR Director to ensure similar standards were met so that Horseshow Cincinnati could open on time.
Ryan has also been a Board Member of the Junior Achievement of South Florida movement, which offers age-appropriate curricula to ensure that students understand their roles as future members of the business community.
She was also part of the leadership team that was integral in creating a women’s networking group within the Seminole Gaming organisation, named Women of Seminole Gaming; Ryan is also on the Southern Development Committee for Global Gaming Women.
Ryan began her career in human resources at Westgate Resorts from 2004 to 2006 – a tenure that laid the groundwork for her subsequent success in HR management.
In this early role, she was responsible for managing employee inquiries regarding benefits, payroll and other employment-related topics. She was also responsible for processing new hire paperwork and facilitating new hire orientations, ensuring that all employees were well-informed about company policies, procedures, benefits and payroll systems.
In May 2006, Ryan transitioned to Caesars Entertainment Corporation – initially joining the company as a Corporate Recruiting Manager. Over the course of nearly five years in this role, she recruited for corporate and executive positions company-wide, managed corporate college programs and oversaw the candidate experience during the interview process.
Throughout this time, she also served as the main point of contact for the assessment administration system, in which she was responsible for troubleshooting and general information. Overall, her efforts in this role contributed significantly to the company’s recruitment and engagement strategies.
Ryan’s career advanced in March 2011 when she took on the role of HR Manager at Harrah’s New Orleans. For the next year and a half, she supported property leaders across all HR functions, including recruitment, training, compensation and employee relations. Her position also involved her leading a team to execute full-cycle recruitment practices and working as a change agent to streamline departmental operations.
During her time in this role, her recruitment programs ensured that staffing levels met state requirements, and she took responsibility for continuously assessing engagement strategies to improve departmental effectiveness.
In August 2012, Ryan moved on to become the HR Director for Horseshoe Cincinnati, still within Caesars Entertainment. Here, she partnered with property leaders to recruit and hire in preparation for the property’s opening in the Spring of 2013. Her role was crucial in preparing the employees operationally for a successful launch.
Ryan’s capabilities then led to her being promoted to the role of Vice President of Human Resources at Horseshoe Cincinnati in March 2014. In this position, she led the HR team in recruitment, training, engagement, employee communications, compensation and benefits. She was also accountable for maintaining the integrity of business employment policies and championed the property’s engagement strategy, aiming to ensure that all employees had the necessary tools and resources to excel.
In June 2014, Ryan joined Seminole Gaming as the Corporate Director of Talent Acquisition. Over the next three years, this role saw her directing the full life cycle recruitment and employment process for all Florida-based Seminole Gaming properties. She developed strategies for sourcing, interviewing, selecting and onboarding new team members – as well as building relationships with local colleges and universities to recruit new talent.
Her success in talent acquisition earned her the role of Vice President of Global Talent & Team Member Relations at Seminole Gaming in 2017 – a role that saw her responsible for managing team member relations on a global scale.
In 2018, Ryan joined Seminole Hard Rock Support Services where she was appointed to the position of Vice President of Talent & Team Member Relations. Following her strong performance in this role, it was announced in July 2024 that she had been promoted to the position of Head of Human Resources – a position that she still currently holds.
Beyond this, Ryan is also a member of the leadership team that created the Women of Seminole Gaming group, supporting the development and success of women through education, mentorship and networking opportunities. Additionally, she serves on the board of Junior Achievement of South Florida and is involved with the Southern Development Committee of Global Gaming Women.
