With nearly two decades of experience, John Fechik has developed a strong track record in marketing leadership within the gaming and hospitality industries. Following on from a 15-year stint at the Venetian Hotel Las Vegas, John Fechik assumed his current position as SVP of Casino Marketing by Virgin Hotels Las Vegas in February 2025. In this role, Fechik oversees the casino’s marketing initiatives, player acquisition, customer engagement and promotional strategies.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

After beginning his career at the Venetian as a Casino Marketing Specialist, Fechik worked his way up to the role of Vice President of Premium Mass Marketing and National Marketing over 15 years. In this position, he led a team of 62, managing the casino’s executive hosts and regional teams. Fechik did so with notable successes, achieving revenue targets of over $300m and profit margins of over $90m annually.  

During his time as an Executive Director at the Venetian, Fechik also helped navigate the hotel through the pandemic – including navigating initiatives that enabled a $14m coin drop and $47m table drop within 3 days of re-opening.  

EMPLOYMENT

Fechik’s career in the gaming industry began at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas in 2009, where he gained extensive experience in casino marketing. Throughout his 15-year tenure at The Venetian, he held various senior roles, gaining strategic insight and leadership experience, helping to enhance the resort’s customer experience and marketing initiatives.  

Prior to his final appointment at the Venetian, Fechik’s responsibilities included managing major partnerships, spearheading programme initiatives, expanding telemarketing efforts, managing strict budgets and assisting in event planning.  

These roles culminated in his final position at the Venetian as Vice President of Premium Mass Marketing and National Marketing, Executive Director of Premium Mass Marketing, and Manager of Premium Player Programmes – a role that he held for over four years.  

Within this role, he helped spearhead the transition of Casino Marketing at Las Vegas Sands Corporation, following its acquisition by Apollo Global Management 

In 2025, Fechik moved on to become SVP of Casino Marketing at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. As part of his current job, Fechik leads the casino marketing department, driving initiatives aimed at sparking growth and enhancing the guest experience.  

His appointment aligns with the company’s broader goals of expanding its casino offerings and strengthening customer retention through the introduction of Cherry Rewards. Fechik joined just after the announcement that Virgin Hotels Las Vegas had secured a contract agreement with Culinary Workers Union Local 226 and the Bartenders Union.
