MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS
After joining Novomatic as a Managing Director for Austrian Gaming, Neumann managed to work his way up to company CEO within just three years. Here, his contributions spanned across a key time for industry innovation within which Novomatic was a key driving figure.
Elsewhere, Neumann is a member of numerous boards across several industries. Currently, he serves as a board member of the American Chamber of Commerce and is involved in civic engagement through the Rotary Club Klosterneuburg, as well as also being a member of the Supervisory Board of Casinos Austria AG.
EMPLOYMENT
Following on from his graduation in 1985, Neumann began his career as a regional director at Alcatel AG, a telecommunications equipment firm, before moving into government tech services and security sectors after serving at the company for a total of seven years.
In 2003, Neumann joined Bundesrechenzentrum GmbH as a Managing Director, a role which he would retain for just over three years before moving on to G4S, where he would become the CEO of the company’s Security Services.
After serving for five-and-a-half years at G4S, Neumann made his official transition into gaming to become the Managing Director of Austrian Gaming Industries at Novomatic in 2011. In this role, he would oversee all the supplier’s localised gaming operations, assisting in strategy implementation and advising senior members of the organisation.
Three years later, he was appointed as Novomatic CEO in 2014. In this position, Neumann oversaw the company’s strategic direction, managing all expansion strategies, product development, partnerships and more for over five years until early 2020. Following on from this, Neumann stepped back from his responsibilities, retaining a part-time role as Strategic Advisor for Novomatic until 2022.
In 2021, he was appointed Non-Executive Director at Ainsworth Game Technology, subsequently stepping into the CEO role in October 2021. Now, Neumann retains the role of CEO, alongside also serving as the company's Executive Director.
