As part of its restructuring plans, Haywood will join Yggdrasil to help lead the Polish division of the company.

Yggdrasil appoints Alex Haywood as Managing Director for Polish entity

Yggdrasil, an iGaming solutions and content provider, has appointed Alex Haywood as the new Managing Director of its Polish entity.

Prior to his appointment, Haywood worked at Liquid Barcodes as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO), a role he also held at Interactive Gaming Group.

Haywood was also previously the Head of Infrastructure Engineering and the Head of IT Business Operations at Evolution.

James Curwen, recently announced Yggdrasil CEO, said: “I am thrilled to welcome Alex Haywood to the Yggdrasil team.

“His impressive track record, from his key roles at Evolution, Interactive Gaming Group, to his most recent position at Liquid Barcodes, highlights his profound understanding of the gaming landscape and his unmatched ability to drive innovation and change.

“With his appointment, we are poised to reach even greater heights in innovation and technological prowess.”

Alongside Haywood’s appointment, Yggdrasil has also announced a number of other leadership changes as part of its restructuring.

Mark McGinley will be transferred from his position as Chief Gaming Officer to CPO, where he will lead the Masters Studio Programme and manage the Yggdrasil game portfolio.

Curwen stepped up as the new CEO of Yggdrasil on 1 October, succeeding Björn Krantz.
