The Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas have put a new spin on the attraction's 40th show, marking the first time in its 25-year history that a guest has choreographed a performance.

This opportunity was made possible through a collaboration between Marriott International and MGM Resorts International.

Scott Krupa, a Marriott Bonvoy Elite member from Atlanta, Georgia, won the opportunity to choreograph a show set to U2's track ‘Beautiful Day’ by bidding 2.4 million Marriott Bonvoy points.

This experience included learning the technology behind the fountains, working with the creative team at WET and guiding the aquatic choreography.

The new show joins the rotation of 40 performances that are shown to thousands of visitors daily. The Fountains of Bellagio operate on a regular schedule, with shows every 30 minutes on weekdays and more frequently on weekends and evenings.

This initiative is part of the broader alliance between Marriott International and MGM Resorts International, which allows Marriott Bonvoy members to earn and redeem points at MGM Collection destinations.

The collaboration aims to provide unique experiences and benefits to members when booking through Marriott's channels. The deal also allows users to earn hotel points through sports betting and online casino play.

Commenting on the collaboration, Adam Greenblatt, BetMGM CEO, said: “The collaboration with Marriott Bonvoy is a monumental differentiator for us. This partnership will extend our brand to millions of potential new customers while offering our players the unique benefit of utilising its gameplay to tap into the world of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of experiences."

Looking ahead, more exclusive experiences are planned, including opportunities centred around the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix.
