Celtic FC extends front-of-shirt partnership with Dafabet
The three-year extension will see Dafabet become the club’s longest-serving ever shirt sponsor.
Key points:
– Dafabet and Celtic have extended their sponsorship by three years
– The operator is set to become the club’s longest ever front-of-shirt sponsor
– The pair originally entered into collaboration in 2015
Dafabet has unveiled a new deal which will see its long-standing position as Celtic Football Club’s front-of-shirt sponsor extended for an additional three years.
This extension marks Celtic’s longest-ever shirt sponsorship partnership as, by the end of the deal, Dafabet will have been the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor for 12 years, after initially appearing on the kit at the start of the 2016/17 season. Further, Dafabet first entered into collaboration with Celtic FC prior to this arrangement, initially becoming the club’s International Betting Partner in 2015.
Dafabet has also drawn up recent partnerships in the English Premier League, entering into a two-year deal with AFC Bournemouth in 2022, a deal that reached its conclusion at the end of last season. Outside of football, the company also teamed up with Oddin.gg over the summer, signing an additional three-year sponsorship deal with Cricket South Africa in August.
Commenting on this latest partnership extension news, Dafabet Head of Sponsorship, John Cruces, said: “We are very happy to be extending our partnership with Celtic FC. To be the longest front of shirt partner on such an iconic and worldwide recognised shirt is a proud moment. To think it was back to the 2016/17 season, an invincible season, that we were first on the shirt is somewhat surreal.
Good to know: In the English Premier League, front of shirt gambling sponsors will be banned from the start of the 2026/27 season
“The measure of success the club has had during our partnership has been incredible and testament to all, both on and off the park. As always, we wish the club the very best and look forward to seeing more records broken and achieving common goals.”
Also speaking on this latest update was Celtic Chief Executive, Michael Nicholson, who said: “Dafabet has been a hugely important partner of the club for so many years and we are delighted to agree this new extension. It is a partner which has also demonstrated a real and meaningful commitment to our charitable and community dimension, something we are extremely appreciative of.
“It is through the club’s strong fundamentals that we continue to be able to attract and deliver such quality partnerships and through agreements such as the one we announce today we are able to look ahead with confidence. We thank Dafabet for their continued commitment to Celtic.”
