Key points:
- Aristocrat’s The Baron Upright cabinet has debuted in the EU
- This development follows the cabinet’s recent launch in the US
- The Baron has now been launched in Albania, France, Italy, Monaco and Montenegro
Aristocrat Gaming’s new land-based slot cabinet – The Baron Upright – has been installed in seven different European locations, marking the product's debut in the regulated EU market.
This latest development closely follows the cabinet's entry into the US landscape a matter of months ago. Further, these recent installations in Albania, France, Italy, Monaco, Montenegro and on a number of European cruise ships mark the respective debuts of both the Baron cabinet and its suite of in-built game in the European market.
Indeed, this latest update comes amid a period of executive changeover for Aristocrat, following the resignation of former CEO Hector Fernandez in December, which saw Craig Toner step into the top job at the industry giant.
More recently, the company last week announced the resignation of its CTO Andy Hendrickson, stating that the search for his successor is now officially underway.
Commenting on this latest development, Aristocrat Chief Revenue Officer, Kurt Gissane, said: "The speed at which we commercialize hardware and games internationally has been a top priority for our customers. With the recent installs of Phoenix Link™ and now the arrival of The Baron Upright, we're pleased to be succeeding in that goal.
“The Baron Upright brings an all-new entertainment experience for our international customers and players, from its unique design to its popular launch titles, and we're looking forward to seeing the positive response."
