Scientific Games has announced the renewal of its licensing agreement with Banijay, which allows for the distribution of a number of game show-themed lottery titles by the supplier.
More specifically, this licence covers the pair’s Deal or No Deal online gaming title, which is currently distributed globally. The two companies have a longstanding relationship that spans 18 years and has seen a total of 110 games launched as part of their partnership.
The details of this renewal remain unspecified by Scientific Games – however, given the pair’s pre-existing relationship, this latest renewal is likely to be drawn out over the long-term.
Speaking on the news, Scientific Games VP of Licensing, Tina Hoover, said: “We are thrilled to renew our licence with Banijay. Deal or No Deal is a universally recognised brand and a perfect fit for our popular licensed lottery games. Our creative teams are hard at work designing retail and digital play experiences that capture the excitement of this iconic TV gameshow.”
Good to know: Last month, the supplier was also awarded an official UAE licence from the GCGRA
Indeed, this latest development falls in the wake of an additional announcement which saw Scientific Games extend its partnership with the Florida lottery via its Enhanced Partnership Program for an additional three years.
Also speaking on the latest news was Banijay Rights SVP of Gaming and Gambling, Mark Woollard, who stated: "We look forward to working with Scientific Games to innovate more brand-immersive Deal or No Deal lottery experiences for players around the world."
