Science and fashion exhibition to be hosted at Crown Towers Perth

Key points:

– Crown Towers Perth will host the HIV Unwrapped exhibition, transforming traditional lab coats into abstract art inspired by HIV research

– The exhibition is free to the public and coincides with the StyleAid fashion fundraiser promoting inclusion and health awareness

Crown Towers Perth will showcase an exhibition that combines fashion, art and science to raise awareness about medical research. HIV Unwrapped will run for over two weeks in conjunction with the StyleAid fashion fundraiser.

The exhibition is supported by the Crown Pride Committee and has been created in collaboration with researchers and fashion designers. It features nine garments, each transforming a traditional lab coat into an abstract piece of art reflecting elements of contemporary HIV research.

The exhibition follows the success of Crown’s Pride Luncheon, now in its seventh year in Perth, which brings the business community together to focus on workplace inclusion. Tickets for the 2025 Pride Luncheon on Friday 21 November are on sale.

Good to know: HIV Unwrapped is free to the public at Crown Towers Perth from 15–31 August 2025

The exhibition also comes shortly after Crown Perth retained its casino licence, following a regulator review that acknowledged the venue’s operational reforms and investment in responsible gambling.

Brian Pereira, Crown Perth CEO, stated: “The public will be able to experience an exclusive exhibition in the heart of Crown’s vibrant entertainment and dining precinct, without an admission fee.

“This exhibition is a wonderful example of how art, science and entertainment can come together to drive awareness and inclusion.”

Dr Daniel Vujcich, WAAC CEO, added: “We’re thrilled to partner with Crown Perth to bring this initiative to life and continue our mission to reduce stigma and improve health outcomes for people living with HIV.”
